The Department of Mathematical Sciences will host Rutgers-Camden alumnus Nick Sanchirico on Thursday, September 28, for a seminar called “Exploring Careers in Mathematics.”

This free seminar will take place on Thursday, September 28, from 12:45 p.m. – 1:45 p.m., in Armitage Hall, Room 208.

Mr. Sanchirico will speak about how a strong foundation in mathematics has helped him in his career goals. He is currently a principal software engineer for EpiSci, a defense company focused on AI-based autonomy. He has years of experience in both the defense industry and the fintech sector. In his current role, Mr. Sanchirico helps design and implement high performance software for unmanned autonomous vehicles. This work requires that code and algorithms are implemented as efficiently as possible to aid in real-time decision making.

Mr. Sanchirico is also a part-time lecturer for the Department of Mathematical Sciences, specializing in scientific computing and data visualization.
