It is my honor to serve as the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Rutgers University–Camden and my pleasure to welcome you to our vibrant and dynamic institution. Guided by the principles of integrative and immersive education, Rutgers–Camden is dedicated to fashioning critically-informed and socially-minded graduates. At the heart of this admirable project stands the College of Arts and Sciences, with its abiding commitment to the enduring value of the liberal arts education, its investment in educating students as engaged citizens and leaders in a diverse and inclusive global community, and its embrace of the virtues of experiential learning. With these values as guides, the College plays a crucial and leading role in the on-going evolution of our institution as a leading urban research university.

Rutgers–Camden offers over 40 undergraduate majors and programs, 23 master’s programs, and 3 multi-disciplinary Ph.D. programs, together with a wealth of minors and specialized programs designed for the demands of the 21st century. Our programs attract students from the entire state of New Jersey, the greater Philadelphia area, from across the country and from nations around the world. Our students are drawn to Rutgers–Camden for its unique combination of the virtues of a mid-sized campus with the resources of a major research university. Students at Rutgers–Camden study with our world-class faculty in classrooms, in state-of-the-art science labs, and in collaboration with a vast array of civic and community partners in our host city of Camden.
