The Electric Cafe Series continues its spring season on Monday, March 11, with a free concert featuring Christopher Jette. Blending live performance,  image, handmade electronic instruments and live processing, the works present the listener with hypothetical soundscapes. Hardware/software instruments enable rich human gestures and meticulous sonic precision. The fluid morphology of weather patterns serve as an aesthetic point of departure while the output represents the curation of lovely sounds.

The performance begins at 11:20 a.m. in the Fine Arts Building’s Black Box Theater.

The Electric Cafe Series is sponsored by the Rutgers–Camden Center for the Arts (RCCA) and the Department of Fine Arts.  Dr. Mark Zaki, Associate Professor of Music, serves as artistic director.
