The Department of History will host the third Lees Seminar of Spring 2025 on Friday, March 28. Dr. Javier Samper Vendrell, Assistant Professor of German at the University of Pennsylvania, will present, “The Gay Nazi and the Innocent Child, or Coming to Terms with the Past in Germany, Year Zero (1948). Dr. Joseph Fischel, Associate Professor of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Yale University, will comment. The seminar will be held from 4:00 to 5:30 pm on Friday, March 28, in the first-floor seminar room of 429 Cooper Street, Camden, NJ.

The Lees Seminar was endowed by Dr. Andrew Lees, Distinguished Professor of History, to promote research in and beyond the Department of History at Rutgers-Camden. Scholars present cutting-edge research in progress as a pre-circulated paper. Seminars open with a brief comment followed by discussion and a reception.
