The Department of History will host the first Lees Seminar of Spring 2025 on Friday, February 7. Dr. Hardeep Dhillon, Assistant Professor of History at the University of Pennsylvania, will present a chapter, “An Immigration Story: Children in the Era of Asian Exclusion,” from her book-in-progress. Dr. Lorrin Thomas, Associate Professor of History, will comment. The seminar will be held from 4:00 to 5:30 pm on Friday, February 7, in the first-floor seminar room of 429 Cooper Street, Camden, NJ.

The Lees Seminar was endowed by Dr. Andrew Lees, Distinguished Professor of History, to promote research in and beyond the Department of History at Rutgers-Camden. Scholars present cutting-edge research in progress as a pre-circulated paper. Seminars open with a brief comment followed by discussion and a reception.
