The Rutgers–Camden Department of Visual, Media, and Performing Arts becomes a central hub for interactive, online conversations with nationally and internationally renowned artists during its “ZoomOnArt” program. Artists who are luminaries in their fields Zoom in from other parts of the country and globe. They share with us images or video shorts of their work and answer questions, and the audience really gets an opportunity to direct the discussion.
Joyce Yu-Jean Lee will join ZoomOnArt for its next session, on Monday, September 23, 2024. Joyce Yu-Jean is a visual artist working with video, digital photography, and interactive installations that combine social practice with institutional critique. Curious about how the act of seeing is transformed by technology, her artwork examines how mass media and visual culture shape notions of truth and understanding of the “other.”
