The Faculty of Arts and Sciences is thrilled to announce two new staff members who have joined our team.  Under the leadership of Faculty Director Dr. Kwangwon Lee, these individuals will help to support the important work of the Institute for Empowering Equitable Education in Stem (E3) at Rutgers University–Camden.  This Institute’s vision is focused on creating a sustainable culture, focused on STEM education, including areas of fostering equitable pedagogy, course and curricular design, program development and implementation.

 

Jamie Cattell, MA, Assistant Director

Jamie holds a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from Rowan University.  She has extensive background in grants administration, specifically working with underrepresented populations.  Her prior roles at Rowan College of Burlington County included oversight of a Title III grant, and work in student retention projects. In her role at Rutgers–Camden, Jamie will oversee the Administration of E3 including grant management, program operations, personnel and marketing/communications.  She will also serve as the liaison for E3 to internal and external partners.

Kyra Miller, MS, Program Coordinator

Kyra Miller, a Rutgers–Camden Alumni, joins the E3 Institute as Program Coordinator.  A recent graduate from our Forensic Science program, Kyra has a commitment to creating spaces where students from diverse backgrounds feel seen and represented.  In her role at Rutgers, Kyra will support the day-to-day logistics and administrative duties of E3 and help to implement programs and initiatives. She will support development of programming, curriculum, promotional material and social media.
