The Rutgers–Camden Department of Visual, Media, and Performing Arts becomes a central hub for interactive, online conversations with nationally and internationally renowned artists during its “ZoomOnArt” program. Artists who are luminaries in their fields Zoom in from other parts of the country and globe. They share with us images or video shorts of their work and answer questions, and the audience really gets an opportunity to direct the discussion. This semester ZoomOnArt will also be a platform for ZoomOnVMPA and will feature interviews with the artists, designers and scholars that comprise Rutgers–Camden’s Department of Visual, Media, and Performing Arts.
Join us Wednesday, March 6, at 11:20 a.m. for ZoomOnArt with artist Catherine Chalmers, who has exhibited her artwork around the world, including MoMA P.S.1; MASSMoCA; The Drawing Center, New York, Kunsthalle Vienna; Today Art Museum, Beijing; among others. Her video “Leafcutters” won Best Environmental Short at the 2018 Natourale Film Festival in Wiesbaden, Germany; in 2019 it won the Gil Omenn Art & Science Award at the Ann Arbor Film Festival.
