The Department of Mathematical Sciences presents the Joy of Math Mini-Conference on Thursday, December 14, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., in BSB 117. This event will feature presentations by Dr. Benedetto Piccoli, the Joseph and Loretta Lopez Endowed Chair, on “Measure differential equations,” and by Dr. Gabor Toth, Distinguished Professor of Mathematics, on “Chebyshev Polynomials in Real Analysis.” Dr. Alex Powell of Vanderbilt University will close out the event with a special lecture called “Low-bit representations of redundant signal expansions and neural networks.”
