The Department of Mathematical Sciences will host Rutgers University alumna Professor Yusefa Smith on Thursday, October 26, for a seminar called “Exploring Careers in Mathematics.”
This free seminar will take place on Thursday, October 26, from 11:10 a.m. – 1 p.m., in Armitage Hall, Room 208.
Professor Yusefa Smith an assistant professor of foundational mathematics at the Community College of Philadelphia. She earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Princeton University and her master’s degree in mathematics from Rutgers University. A former middle school and high school mathematics teacher, Professor Smith began teaching at the Community College of Philadelphia in 2015.
