The Department of Mathematical Sciences will host John Boyles, Director of Research and Development for the Philadelphia 76ers, on Thursday, October 12, for a seminar called “Exploring Careers in Mathematics.”
This free seminar will take place in Armitage Hall, Room 208, on Thursday, October 12, starting at 11:10 a.m. A lunch will immediately follow the talk.
Mr. Boyles has been with the Philadelphia 76ers since 2018 as the head of analytics. He has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Pittsburgh. He has spent much of career working on the development of high performance filesystems
