The Faculty of Arts and Sciences–Camden would like to welcome Dr. Stephen Danley, Associate Professor of Public Policy and Administration, to his new role of director of the Center for Urban Research and Education (CURE). Dr. Danley will assume the role on July 1, 2023. Dr. Danley has been at Rutgers–Camden since 2013. His research interests include local knowledge, informal organizations, local networks, urban neighborhoods, urban policy, New Orleans, Camden, and Philadelphia.

We offer deep gratitude to Dr. Paul Jargowsky, Professor of Public Policy and Administration, who is stepping down from leading CURE after twelve years.

Beginning July 1, 2023, we also would like to welcome Dr. Jillian Sayre, Associate Professor of English, to the role of director of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Center for the Humanities (MARCH). A member of the Rutgers–Camden community since 2014, Dr. Sayre’s research focuses on narrative theory, affect, and community in early national American literatures.

We give sincere thanks to Dr. Charlene Mires, Professor of History, who has led MARCH since 2010.
