Have you heard the term “fellowships” but wondered, what exactly is a fellowship? Or maybe you know these are fully funded award opportunities (hint, that’s the answer to the above!) but you want to know what the process to apply looks like, how difficult it might be to earn a fellowship, and what the benefits of a fellowship program are. All of these are excellent questions, and things we’ll address during this session. More importantly, our presenters – including current students and recent alumni – will review award opportunities best suited for RUC students, share personal experiences as applicants, offer tips for success, and post-applicant insight!

This session is presented jointly by the Office of Scholar Development and Fellowship Advising & the Research Office. OSDFA helps Rutgers University–Camden students & alumni to identify and apply for prestigious awards and national fellowships. Under the guidance of the office director and faculty mentors, students will seek acceptance to nationally recognized fellowship programs that fund graduate training, public service internships, research and study abroad experiences, and professional opportunities. Learn more here: https://camden.rutgers.edu/osdfa. The Research Office at Rutgers University–Camden supports faculty and student research across the campus by working with faculty and students to identify appropriate funding and collaborative opportunities to advance their work. Additionally, the Research Office hosts events to promote ongoing research and creative activities.  Learn more here: https://camden.rutgers.edu/research/research-office.
