The Rutgers-Camden Driving Change Initiative, which strives “to drive genuine and lasting cultural change on our campus so that STEM undergraduate students from all backgrounds, particularly those who belong to historically excluded groups, will excel and graduate from college, will be well prepared to pursue advanced degrees, and will eventually assume leadership roles,” will host a series of Watch Party events this semester in order to generate conversations about DEI in STEM.

Join us on Thursday, March 23, at 5 p.m., for the viewing of the documentary Secrets of the Surface: The Mathematical Vision of Maryam Mirzakhani. After the film, we will discuss the question “What systemic barriers exist for women in STEM?” Join us in the Science Lecture Hall. Pizza will be served. Please send questions to Dr. Nathan Fried, Assistant Teaching Professor of Biology. All are welcome!
