Dr. Ana Laguna, professor of Early Modern Spanish Literature at Rutgers–Camden’s Department of World Languages and Cultures, has been named the recipient of the “Luis Murillo Award for Best Article of the Year” from Cervantes Society of America for her essay on Cervantes and Caribbean colonialism “Sancho Panza and the ‘Islas Inútiles.” 

The Award ceremony will take place at the Renaissance Society of America annual meeting this March in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
