Applications are now open to become a peer instructor in Fall 2023 for the First Year Rutgers Experience (FYRE) program. FYRE Peer Instructors are actively engaged and motivated students interested in connecting underclassmen to the facilities, activities, and resources needed to successfully navigate their Rutgers–Camden experience.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants for a Peer Instructor (PI) position must meet the following eligibility criteria
- Must have at least 54 and no more than 90 credits completed prior to teaching a fall semester FYRE class.
- Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 at the time of application and during the following semester
- Must be available to participate in all 3 training sessions (dates TBD)
- Must be available to attend one-hour biweekly meetings with FYRE staff for consultation during the fall semester when teaching
