The Brian McAndrews Memorial Exhibition, housed in the Student Works Gallery, highlights the works of Brian McAndrews, who was an active member of Camden’s artist community. In 2014, Brian graduated from Rutgers–Camden with honors, Summa Cum Laude. He was awarded a Hovnanian Academic scholarship and received the William Hoffman Painting Award.

Active in the academic life of the University and the Department of Visual, Media, and Performing Arts; he was a vital member of the Art Students’ League, curator of Student Works Gallery, and was an Art Workshop Leader for Teen Arts. In addition to the visual arts, Brian was very interested in theater, writing one of the one-act plays produced in 2013 and acting as the House Manager of the Walter K. Gordon Theater. He loved the work of Shakespeare and Eugene O’Neill.
