Join us Feb. 18 for the “Blackness in Germany and the AfroEuropean Diaspora” Lecture

Africana Studies and the Black German Heritage and Research Association (BGHRA) will present “Blackness in Germany and the AfroEuropean Disapora” on Thursday, February 18, at 12:45 p.m. via Zoom. Black German Studies pioneer Dr. Tiffany N. Florvil, author of Mobilizing Black Germany: Afro-German Women and the Making of a Transnational Movement, will give the lecture. Dr. Florvil will discuss the neglected meanings of Black life and culture in Germany as well as in Europe. 

All are welcome to attend this free event, though registration is required. 

This event is sponsored by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Inclusion, and Civic Engagement.
