Rutgers–Camden offers several named and endowed scholarships ranging in amounts from $500 – $5000. Named and endowed scholarships are established through the generosity of alumni, friends, corporations, and foundations. Many were created to honor or memorialize a favorite professor, a cherished classmate, or a beloved spouse. They are awarded annually based on the criteria set forth by the donor. Criteria include items such as living in South Jersey, specific major, veteran status, GPA, graduate or undergraduate, and having taken a break from your education for five years.
These scholarships are offered to students who will be continuing in the same school/program in which they are currently enrolled for the 2019-20 school year. This means that if you are an undergraduate or graduate student now, and will be an undergraduate or graduate student in the fall, you are eligible; if you are an undergraduate now, and will be in one of our graduate programs in the fall, you are not eligible.
Scholarships are available to students graduating in January 2020 or later. Scholarships will be awarded for the Fall of 2019 and Spring of 2020 semesters, generally half in the fall and half in the spring, but January 2020 graduates are eligible to apply. Decisions will be made in late May and June and notifications will be sent out in the summer to students who are selected.
