The Writers House will host a community archives workshop on Wednesday, February 27, with Whitney P. Lopez, a community archivist, arts advocate, and consultant. Lopez is currently the project archivist for the Audience Embedded project at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania.

This event is deal for anyone who has an interest in maintaining and preserving history that doesn’t often show up in official historical narratives. Participants will learn how to use archivists’ tools to approach their personal and community histories.

This event begins at 5 p.m. on February 27 in the Writers House. Registration is requested.

This event replaces the originally scheduled event, “Revelations: Caribbeanist Photography as Embodied Practice” with Dr. Kevin Browne.
