Dr. Lynne Vallone, Professor of Childhood Studies, will discuss her new book, Big and Small: A Cultural History of Extraordinary Bodies, on Monday, February 5th.  Dr. Vallone’s new book surveys the lives and contexts of both real and imagined persons with extraordinary bodies from the seventeenth century to the present day through close examinations of art, literature, folklore, and cultural practices, as well as scientific and pseudo-scientific discourses. 

This free event will take place in the Campus Center’s Raptor Roost from 11:20 a.m. – 12:20 p.m.  Register by Thursday, February 1st.  Refreshments will be served.
