SkypeOnArt continues Monday, November 13th, with a presentation by Dr. Ahmed Elgammal, Director of the Art and Artificial Intelligence Lab, Associate Professor of Computer Science, and member of the Center for Computational Biomedicine Imaging and Modeling (CBIM) at Rutgers University–New Brunswick.  Dr. Elgmammal will present “Machine Learning,” which will discuss research focus of human activity recognition, human motion analysis, tracking, human identification, and statistical methods for computer vision.

Currently, Dr. Elgammal is partnering with Ms. Elizabeth Demaray, Associate Professor of Art, on PandoraBird, a computer vision system aimed at identifying the musical tastes of songbirds, and on the IndaPlant Project, which is an Artificial Intelligence system that lets robotically supported potted plants freely seek sunlight and water.

Dr. Elgammal’s presentation will take place on November 13th from 11:20 a.m. – 12:20 p.m. in Fine Arts Building, Room 215.  All are welcome to this free event.
