Dr. Aaron Hostetter, Associate Professor of English, will host Dr. Chris Vinsonhaler, from the Borough College of Manhattan. on Friday, November 10th, for a public reading of selections of the Old English epic “Beowulf.” Dr. Vinsonhaler will recite the poem while accompanying herself on the harp. The performance will be prefaced by Dr. Vinsonhaler’s research on Old English oral performance in a fun, engaging, and friendly presentation.
All are welcome to this free event. The reading begin at 6 p.m. in the Black Box Theater in the Fine Arts Complex.
