John E. Entwistle III, CCAS ’77, will present the lecture “The Application of a Science Education in Business,” on Tuesday, December 9th, from 12:15 p.m. – 1:15 p.m.  In this lecture, Mr. Entwistle will discuss how his bachelor’s degree in physics helped him advance his career.  The event will take place in the Financial Markets Lab, Room 106, in the Business and Science Building.  This event is co-sponsored by Dean Kriste Lindenmeyer and the Department of Computer Science.  Pizza and soda will be served.

John E. Entwistle III, CCAS ’77, is Senior Vice President in Brown Brothers Harriman’s Technology Services Group, a business line tasked with packaging and selling the firm’s proprietary banking systems to banks and asset management firms worldwide. With 35 years of experience in information technology serving the banking, brokerage, telecommunications, and manufacturing industries, Mr. Entwistle has led global IT teams in a variety of different firms, ranging in size from Fortune 500 companies to startups. He has also developed SAAS, e-commerce, and internet businesses and applications. Mr. Entwistle’s background also includes customer-relationship management, product development, project management, systems design and development, and consulting.
