On Wednesday, October 16th, at 3:30 p.m., Rutgers-Camden hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Nursing and Science Building, which will be Rutgers-Camden first new academic building since the 2008 construction of the Law School East building. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Rutgers University President Robert Barchi joined us for the groundbreaking.
The $62.5 million project is supported by funds from the higher education bond referendum approved by New Jersey’s voters last November. The building will be at the corner of Fifth and Federal Streets, and is slated to open during the fall 2016 semester.
