This society is the national social work honor society. Its purpose is to advance excellence in social work practice and to encourage, stimulate, and maintain scholarship of the individual members. To be eligible for membership, a student must have senior standing, have completed 21 credits in the social work program, a 3.25 cumulative GPA, and a 3.5 GPA in social work courses. In addition to academic excellence, a student must demonstrate leadership, a high standard of personal behavior, and a dedication to social work practice.
