Writers in Camden with Davon Loeb and Shawn R. Jones

The Writers House will conclude its Spring 2023 Writers in Camden Series on Wednesday, April 12, with readings by alumni Davon Loeb and Shawn R. Jones. This free event runs from 7 – 8:00 PM EST and registration is required. The location is the Executive Conference Room in the Campus Center. 

About Davon Loeb

Davon Loeb is the author of the memoir The In-Betweens (West Virginia University Press, 2023). He earned an MFA in creative writing from Rutgers-Camden University. Davon is an assistant features editor at The Rumpus. His work is featured at The Rumpus, Catapult, Ploughshares Blog, PANK Magazine, Creative Nonfiction, University of Nebraska Press, and elsewhere. Besides writing, Davon is a high school English teacher, husband, and father living in New Jersey. He can be reached at davonloeb.com and on Twitter at @LoebDavon. 

About Shawn R. Jones

Shawn R. Jones was born in Hartford, Connecticut and grew up in Atlantic City, New Jersey. She is the author of two poetry chapbooks, Womb Rain and A Hole to Breathe. Her work has appeared in Tri-Quarterly, New Ohio Review, River Heron Review, and elsewhere. She has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, and her poetry collection, Date of Birth, won the 2022 Lexi Rudnitsky First Book Prize in Poetry and is out from Persea Books in 2023. Shawn is the co-owner of Tailored Tutoring LLC and Kumbaya Academy, Inc., a dance instructor at Halliday Dance, and a member of  the Langston Hughes Society and the poetry performance troupe, No River Twice. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and an MFA from Rutgers-Camden. When she is not writing, dancing, or teaching, she enjoys spending time with her family and her lucky pit bull, Ross.
