Our students and faculty agree that to “see oneself as a scientist” is of the utmost importance when choosing to major in a STEM discipline. Our conversation will ask questions like, “How can we increase gender, racial, and LGBTQIA+ representation among STEM faculty, and so also students? How do we improve student outcomes in STEM courses, particularly for those in underrepresented groups? What are ways in which we can fold DEI into the fabric of our education system?” We invite all members of our community to join in this important discussion.
