Join the Rutgers–Camden Center for the Arts on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. for a talk by sculptor and Rutgers Professor Emeritus John Giannotti. The discussion will be moderated by Stass Shpanin, Assistant Teaching Professor of Art. Enjoy refreshments, wine, conversation and mingling. The event will take place in the Stedman Gallery. Registration is requested.
In celebration of the Stedman Gallery’s 50th Anniversary, Giannotti will share about the development of the Department of Visual, Media, and Performing Arts, and the Stedman Gallery exhibitions and collection. In conversation with our current permanent collection exhibition, Emerging: the Stedman Gallery 50th Anniversary Show, the Stedman Gallery will bring out works from the vault specially selected by Giannotti for this program.
About the Artist:
Rutgers University Professor Emeritus and Haddonfield-based sculptor John Giannotti received a BFA cum laude from SUNY Buffalo, an MFA from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers, and was a Visiting Artist at the Johnson Atelier in Princeton. Giannotti was a faculty member at the Camden and New Brunswick campuses for thirty-three years until his recent retirement. In addition to his teaching career, he is known for his public sculptures and monuments and has exhibited his work internationally.
