The Department of Childhood Studies invites you to the Centering Black Childhoods Series: Collecting and Archiving Visions of Black Childhoods, on Tuesday, October 22. The panel discussion will feature Destiny Crockett, inaugural Mellon Humanities Postdoctoral Fellow in Childhood Studies and Racial Justice; Vashti DuBois, an artist and the Founder and Director of Philadelphia’s The Colored Girls Museum; Samantha White, our PhD alum in Childhood Studies and Assistant Professor of Sports Studies at Manhattanville University; and Nydia Blas, photographer and Assistant Professor in the Department of Art and Visual Culture at Spelman College. The panel will be moderated by Childhood Studies doctoral candidate LaTiana Ridgell

Registration is required for this free event, which will take place from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. in the Campus Center’s Multi-Purpose Room. Dinner will be served.
