The Community Leadership Center and the Department of History will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a discussion of the book Nationalist Heroines: Puerto Rican Women History Forgot, 1930s-1950s. Written by Dr. Olga Jiménez de Wagenheim, Professor Emerita in History at Rutgers University–Newark, this book tells the stories of women who fought for their homeland’s freedom. The event begins on Thursday, October 13th, at 10 a.m. on the 12th Floor of the Dr. Gloria Bonilla-Santiago Building, located at 130 N. Broadway in Camden. Dr. Jiménez de Wagenheim will also sign copies of the book.
