The Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing Program will conclude its 2014-2015 Writers in Camden series on Wednesday, April 1st, with a reading by author Victor LaValle.
Victor LaValle is the author of one story collection and three novels. His most recent novel, The Devil in Silver, was a New York Times Notable Book of 2012. He has been the recipient of numerous awards including a Guggenheim Fellowship, an American Book Award, and the Key to Southeast Queens. He teaches creative writing in Columbia Universitys MFA program.
The event will begin at 7 p.m. in the Stedman Gallery, located in the Fine Arts Building. All Writers in Camden series events, which are free and open to the public, are followed by a question and answer session and reception.
The Writers in Camden series is sponsored by the MFA in Creative Writing Program, the National Endowment for the Arts, and Art Works.
