The Department of Visual, Media, and Performing Arts will begin its Spring 2024 Visiting Artists’ Program with Layo Bright. The lecture will take place on Thursday, March 7, from 12:45 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. in the Fine Arts Building, Room 110. This event is free and open to the public. This semester’s theme is “Process.”
Layo Bright is a sculptor who explores themes of migration, legacy, and identity through hybrid portraits, textiles, and mixed media work. Bright’s solo museum debut Dawn and Dusk opens at The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in Ridgefield CT, USA, in Spring 2024 and will be on view till Fall 2024.
