The Master of Arts in Teaching Spanish welcomes all to the fifth “Getting to Work” Roundtable Series, taking place via Zoom on Tuesday, February 6. Panelists include:
- Aurora Boyette, from Absegami High School in Galloway, NJ;
- Caridad Cloud, from Episcopal Academy in Pennsylvania;
- Tiyana Hicks, from Leap Academy Charter School in Camden, NJ;
- Ashley Rios, from Highland School in Blackwood, NJ;
- Madison Rogers, from KIPP Lanning Square Middle School in Camden, NJ; and
- Stephany Sanchez Villar, from Mastery Molina Upper School in Camden, NJ.
Panelists will discuss “Being Agents of Change through SLA Practices.” This roundtable will discuss how to become Agents of Change in K-12 contexts. Presenters are all current or former Spanish MAT students at Rutgers Camden. They will discuss the challenges, affordances, and constraints of transforming their curricula, as well as best practices for improving teaching and learning. This panel will also showcase the stories of success that adopting these practices brought to their districts.
