The Rutgers-Camden Driving Change Initiative, which strives “to drive genuine and lasting cultural change on our campus so that STEM undergraduate students from all backgrounds, particularly those who belong to historically excluded groups, will excel and graduate from college, will be well prepared to pursue advanced degrees, and will eventually assume leadership roles,” will host a series of Watch Party events this semester in order to generate conversations about DEI in STEM.
Join us on Thursday, February 23, at 5 p.m., in the Science Lecture Hall, for the viewing of the film Hidden Figures. After the film, we will discuss the question “Why have some groups been historically marginalized in STEM?” Pizza will be served. Please send questions to Dr. Nathan Fried, Assistant Teaching Professor of Biology. All are welcome!
