On Wednesday, April 27, the Community Leadership Center will host Evelyn Rodriguez-Perez, the current country representative for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Paraguay. She will present, “The Role of the U.S. Agency for International Development in Promoting U.S. Foreign Policy Interests Worldwide.” All are welcome to this free, in-person event, but registration is required. The event will be from noon – 3 p.m. in the Campus Center’s Executive Meeting Room. Lunch will be provided.
Speaking from more than 30 years of experience working in development, Ms. Rodriguez-Perez will discuss the investment the USAID has made in developing countries and the long-term benefits for America and the American people. She will address the work of promoting development alongside defense and diplomacy as an essential component of American foreign policy. In addition, her vast experience in global development work provides the opportunity for students to learn about exciting careers in foreign service.
