Michelle Meloy, Ph.D., joins the Faculty of Arts and Sciences–Office of the Dean as the associate dean of the Graduate School–Camden and Research. A member of the Rutgers–Camden faculty since 2002, Dr. Meloy was promoted to professor of criminal justice in 2015. She has served as the director of the graduate program in criminal justice from 2012 until 2019. Her research areas include gender and crime, victimization, high-risk communities, and criminal justice policy. Dr. Meloy teaches courses in gender advocacy and juvenile justice and has taught victimology, gender, crime and justice, and social justice in film and literature. She has authored two books and numerous journal articles.
In addition to overseeing the Graduate School–Camden, Dr. Meloy will be the FASC point person for faculty and student research initiatives, as well as coordinating reappointment and promotion and tenure cases for the College.
