On Thursday, September 13, the Department of Philosophy and Religion and the Exploring Interdisciplinary Global Studies Project will host a panel discussion regarding legal, international, psychological, and historical issues raised by the recent news of refugee and migrant children being separated from their families at the southern border. The faculty panelists include:
- Dr. John Wall, Professor of Religion (joint appointment in the Department of Childhood Studies);
- Joanne Gottesman, Clinical Professor of Law;
- Ann Adalist-Estrin, Director of the National Resource Center on Children and Families of the Incarcerated; and
- Dr. Lorrin Thomas, Associate Professor of History.
The event begins at 12:45 p.m. in the 401 Penn Classroom. A light lunch will be included.
