Join us on Wednesday, April 27th, for a lecture by actress, director, and screenwriter Toni Kalem. Ms. Kalem will discuss careers in acting, screenwriting, and director, the challenges of adapting novels for the screen, the challenges for women in Hollywood, and the realities of making independent films. The lecture begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Black Box Theater, located in the Fine Arts Building. A reception will immediately follow.
Ms. Kalem is best known for her performance as Angie Bonpensiero in The Sopranos. She has written for The Sopranos and The Big C. Ms. Kalem has adapted the novel Layover, written by Ms. Lisa Zeidner, Professor of Creative Writing and English, for the screen and will direct that movie this summer.
