The Rutgers–Camden Center for the Arts‘ exhibition, “Resonance – – Recurrence: Inuit and Modernist Works on Paper from the Lee and Rosie Hymerling Collection,” is available for viewing at the Stedman Gallery through Friday, March 10, 2023.

Lee and Rosie Hymerling began acquiring paintings, drawings, and sculpture early in their marriage. The work in the exhibition is selected from two of the areas they focused on: one was Inuit art produced in Kinngait (formerly Cape Dorset), Nunavut, in the Canadian Arctic; another was Abstract Expressionist and Color Field American and European modernism. Painter and curator Bruce Garrity saw the resonance and recurrence of themes and approaches in the two bodies of work, which we are pleased to present to you for your enjoyment.

This exhibit is free and open to the public. The gallery is open from Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., and on Saturdays from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.
