As a local arm of the Rutgers University Foundation, the Arts and Sciences Development Office on the Rutgers-Camden Campus directs and supports activities to generate funds that will benefit students, faculty and staff, as well as programs for the Faculty of Arts & Sciences. We work with internal and external constituencies to raise funds for scholarships, fellowships, endowed chairs, and professorships; and to create endowments for the colleges and centers of excellence.

Dean’s Emergency Fund

Rutgers-Camden students face economic hurdles in achieving their educational dreams as never before. The Office of the Dean often fields phone calls from students struggling to meet their financial obligations with the university and others who have no choice but to withdraw from their classes due for financial reasons.

In an effort to retain these students and propel them toward graduation, the Faculty of Arts & Sciences at Rutgers—Camden has established the FAS Dean’s Emergency Fund. Established with an inaugural gift from Dean Kriste Lindenmeyer, this awards small grants of less than $1,000 to students who otherwise would be forced to withdraw from school.

Use the Make a Gift button to contribute to the Dean’s Emergency Fund. Checks are also accepted. They should be made payable to the Rutgers University Foundation with “FAS Dean’s Emergency Fund – Camden” noted in the memo line and mailed to the Development Office.
